Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living in Ipswich is recruiting a Care and Support Assistant to help customers live as independently as possible. You will provide personal care, assist with daily tasks, and support with appointments while safeguarding customers and following safe practices.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Good communication skills to build relationships.
• Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar).

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised care and support to promote independence.
• Support with washing, dressing, bathing and personal hygiene.
• Administer medication safely and accurately.
• Assist with shopping, cleaning and laundry tasks.
• Help customers arrange and attend appointments.
• Promote a positive culture and reduce social isolation.
• Keep accurate records and follow safe practices including risk assessments.
