Job summary

Lloyd's Register International is seeking a Care and Support Assistant for our mental health service located in Ipswich. The role focuses on delivering personalised care, assisting with daily living tasks, and promoting independence for clients with mental health needs.

The position is based at Sidegate Lane, Ipswich, with 37.5 hours per week and a pay rate of 13.15 per hour. A supportive environment offers training and career development opportunities, alongside a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Good communication skills to build strong relationships with customers.
• Basic literacy and numeracy required to maintain records and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised care and support, helping customers live as independently as possible.
• Support with washing, dressing, bathing and personal hygiene.
• Administer medication safely and accurately.
• Assist with shopping, cleaning and laundry tasks.
• Help customers arrange and attend appointments.
• Promote a positive culture by engaging with customers and reducing social isolation.
• Keep accurate records and follow safe practices, including risk assessments.
