North London NHS Foundation Trust has a vacancy for a Mental Health Nurse (Care Co-ordinator) at HMP Pentonville, situated in North London. The core responsibility is to support the delivery of care aligned with New Models of Care.
The role involves providing high-standard mental health support within prison settings, working with healthcare staff and the wider prison establishment, particularly offering specialist advice to GPs in assessment and treatment of inmates with mental health issues.
The successful candidate will need to adopt a recovery and enablement model, facilitating the seamless transition of prisoners with mental health problems back to community-based mental health services upon release.
Applicants must be qualified RMNs with experience in mental health, forensic mental health services, and offender care.
