Barrie Knitwear is seeking several Menders to join the Knitting team in Hawick. Trainee or experienced candidates welcomed, with full training and development provided to grow skills in a world-renowned luxury knitwear manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Mending, hand sewing or textile manufacturing experience preferred but not essential.
• Full training and ongoing development provided.

Responsibilities

• Identify and deal with production issues on knitted garments.
• Learn to identify and carefully deal with pulling-in ends on trims.
• Develop understanding of knitted garment construction and quality standards.
• Identify and correct minor issues accurately and consistently.
• Maintain appearance and quality of luxury knitwear.
• Follow established processes and quality standards.
• Work alongside experienced Menders and Knitting colleagues to develop skills.
• Support the team to ensure timely completion of work.
