Barrie Knitwear is seeking a Production Team Leader in Hawick to guide and develop a production crew, align daily output with plans, and drive continuous improvement. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and staff growth in a fast-paced knitwear manufacturing environment.

You will work with cross-functional teams to meet targets, manage attendance, and foster a positive team culture through coaching and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in production or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Team and performance support to meet KPIs and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with Planning and workflow coordinators for schedules.
• Oversee attendance and time sheets with Payroll/HR.
• Adapt to schedule changes and keep operations smooth.
• Deliver cross-training plans to develop skills.
• Support safety drills and health improvements.
• Participate in cross-functional discussions to boost quality.
• Collaborate with Quality to uphold standards.
• Address employee relations fairly with HR.
• Lead by example to foster collaboration and growth.
