Job summary

MicroTECH Global Limited in Manchester, UK, is seeking an experienced MEMS Process Engineer to join a hands-on cleanroom team. You will work across wafer processing, device development and manufacturing scale‑up, gaining exposure to the full MEMS development cycle.

You will fabricate MEMS devices, optimise lithography, etch and deposition, support yield improvement, perform device characterisation and troubleshoot fabrication issues, collaborating with design and engineering on prototypes.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related field.
  • 2+ years' MEMS, semiconductor or microfabrication experience.
  • Hands-on cleanroom experience.
  • Familiarity with lithography, DRIE/Bosch etching, PVD sputtering, E-beam evaporation, wet chemicals, SEM, and wafer dicing.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricating MEMS devices in a cleanroom environment.
  • Running and optimising lithography, etch and deposition processes.
  • Supporting process development and yield improvement activities.
  • Performing process inspections and device characterisation.
  • Troubleshooting fabrication issues and implementing process improvements.
  • Working closely with design and engineering teams on prototype development.
