Job summary

microTECH Global LTD in Suffolk seeks an experienced Process Engineering Manager to lead wafer process development and end-to-end delivery in a semiconductor fabrication environment, combining R&D with low-volume, high-quality manufacture.

You will own objectives for multiple projects, drive data-led decisions, champion continuous improvement, and develop a high-performing technical team while ensuring health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or Physics.
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a semiconductor wafer fabrication environment.
• Experience with III-V materials and associated manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing technical teams.
• Experience leading new materials evaluation and development programmes within an R&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead wafer process development to maintain world-class process capability and support future technology requirements.
• Own end-to-end delivery for both R&D and low-volume production activities.
• Set clear objectives and deliverables for team members, aligned with business and customer requirements.
• Lead performance management to support employee development and engagement.
• Foster continuous improvement by embedding lessons learned into future process and product development.
