Job summary

Kier Group plc in the North West is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineer to support delivery of MEICA works across water, wastewater, and pumping assets. You will work with the Project Manager, Engineering Manager, site teams and suppliers to ensure safe, right-first-time delivery that meets programme, quality, and client requirements.

The role covers planning, coordinating and delivering M&E activities from design through to construction, testing, commissioning and handover,

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC/HND or degree apprenticeship or equivalent experience in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• CSCS card and a recognised safety qualification such as IOSH, SSSTS or SMSTS are required.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate mechanical and electrical work packages including pumps, valves, pipework, MCCs, LV distribution, drives, instrumentation, actuated valves, telemetry and PLC/SCADA interfaces.
• Review design information, specifications, drawings, schedules and supplier documentation for buildability and compliance.
• Collaborate with designers, construction teams and subcontractors to resolve technical queries and installation constraints.
• Produce and coordinate RAMS, permits, inspection and test plans, quality check sheets, FAT/SAT requirements, commissioning packs and handover records.
