Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Engineering Delivery Manager to lead a large portfolio of capital MEICA projects across wastewater and water networks, with hybrid working across Earlswood, Crawley, Esher or Guildford and travel within the area.

Reporting to the Capital Maintenance Projects team, you will shape cost-effective strategies, manage procurement, supervise Project Engineers, provide estimates and programming support, and ensure 100% compliance with client specs.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial and technical role with engineering project management preferred.
• Understanding of basic civil engineering works, contract law, planning, estimating and tendering.
• Proven track record of project management in an engineering environment with M&E systems knowledge.
• Experience managing procurement, suppliers and sub-contractors on site-based construction.
• People management including training and development of staff.
• Ability to estimate, program and plan for the wider team.
• Ensuring delivery of projects in line with client specifications and site requirements.
• Delivery of projects in compliance with legislative, CDM and HR requirements.
• Experience managing up to 10 staff and multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide estimates, programming and planning support to the wider team.
• Manage procurement processes and supplier/sub-contractor networks for site construction activities.
• Oversee delivery of construction projects on the program with client specs.
• Manage client site requirements to minimise operational impact.
• Deliver projects in compliance with CDM, health and safety, environmental and HR requirements.
• Lead and develop directly managed Project Engineers.
