Job summary

Altrad are seeking an experienced Building Construction Manager to coordinate MEH discipline teams within a defined area on Hinkley Point C. The role is site-based, permanent, and requires leadership to ensure installation activities are sequenced and delivered to the construction programme.

You will manage interfaces, maintain safety and quality standards, and drive schedule adherence across MEH activities, working with planning, engineering and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in MEH or related field.
• SMSTS or CCNSG Safety Passport.
• CSCS Manager and Professional Black Card, or willingness to achieve this qualification.
• Proven experience coordinating multi-discipline MEH installation activities within a defined area or building.
• Experience coordinating workface readiness and prerequisite coordination using a planning system (e.g., PLOW).

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all MEH discipline teams (Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC) within the assigned area.
• Ensure works align to a single, coordinated plan, including the PLOW.
• Control interfaces between disciplines to prevent clashes and rework.
• Ensure MEH disciplines operate to a single aligned PLOW.
• Ensure installation activities are delivered in correct sequence and planned week.
• Drive high level of PLOW adherence across the area.
• Maintain safe, clear workfaces and manage material flow on site.
• Provide strong site-based leadership and coordinate with Building Leads and planning teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning, quality and stakeholders for coordinated delivery.
