Job summary

Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Planner to support the MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C. You will develop and maintain detailed Level 5 mechanical construction schedules and four-week lookahead plans to ensure activities are ready for execution on site at Bridgwater.

Qualifications

• HNC in engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction planning.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining construction schedules, ideally in large-scale projects.
• Good understanding of sequencing, progress measurement and quantity tracking.
• Ability to integrate engineering, materials, access, resources, quality and commissioning requirements into plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaborative working in teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a complex regulatory environment.
• Nuclear/heavy industry or major infrastructure experience is advantageous.
• Commitment to health, safety, quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed mechanical Level 5 construction schedules.
• Prepare and update mechanical four-week lookahead plans.
• Align schedules with 16-week lookahead and milestones.
• Establish progress measurement requirements and track quantities.
• Provide schedule progress updates with evidence-based data.
• Integrate engineering, materials, access, resources, quality and commissioning requirements.
• Confirm activity readiness with teams and manage constraints and risks.
• Provide visibility of readiness, productivity and schedule performance.
