Job summary

Altrad are seeking an experienced Lifting Engineer to support the safe planning, coordination and delivery of lifting activities within the MEH scope on Hinkley Point C. This role will be based at Hinkley Point C on a permanent basis and will work closely with the Planning Team and Lifting Lead to ensure lifting activities are prioritized and delivered in line with the programme.

Qualifications

CPCS A61 Appointed Person or equivalent blue card required.
NVQ Level 3 ACE in steel erecting/moving loads or similar.
ECITB Appointed Person Moving Loads with TAP01 certification.
IOSH Managing Safely certification.
Proven experience with lift planning and cranes.
Proficient with AutoCAD and lifting standards.

Responsibilities

Develop lift plans in line with NNB Management of Lifting Operations Standard.
Coordinate lifting operations and ensure suitable equipment and accessories.
Brief lifting and rigging supervision on planned operations.
Handover approved lift plans to Lift/Rigging Supervisor for execution.
Plan resources to ensure competent supervision and safe operations.
Investigate hazards in the lifting area and implement corrective actions.
Maintain lifting procedures and coordination plans in compliance with regulations.
Support Lifting Lead with weekly/monthly lift reports and resource planning.
