Job summary

Village Hotels is seeking a Meetings and Events Assistant Manager to be the operational powerhouse on the events floor. You will manage shifts, oversee setup, demonstrate AV equipment, and coach your team to deliver an electric atmosphere that maximises bar revenue and leaves guests blown away.

Previous supervisory or management experience in events is essential, and your attitude and calm under pressure matter most.

Responsibilities

• The Floor Delivery: set up spaces to brand standards and demonstrate AV tech, ensuring the room looks immaculate before guests arrive.
• The Team Leadership: deputise for the M&E Operations Manager, run training, coach the team, keep energy high on long shifts.
• The Commercial Hustle: upsell F&B opportunities, hit bar targets, monitor budget, manage payroll costs for profitability.
• The Guest Experience: liaise with sales and event organizers, provide rapid solutions, ensure a vibrant welcome and departure for delegates.
