Job summary

Village Hotels in Farnborough seeks an enthusiastic Meetings & Events Assistant Manager to drive event delivery on the floor. You will manage shifts, oversee space setup, take charge of AV equipment, and coach the team to deliver an electric atmosphere that maximises bar revenue and guest satisfaction.

You will lead the events floor, deputise for the M&E Operations Manager, train staff, and actively upsell Food & Beverage to ensure high profitability while maintaining exceptional guest

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience in events is essential.
• Willingness to lead a team on a busy events floor.
• Strong sales focus and ability to upsell in F&B.

Responsibilities

• The Floor Delivery: ensure spaces are set up and serviced to brand standards, demonstrate AV tech, ensure room looks immaculate before guests.
• The Team Leadership: deputise for M&E Operations Manager, conduct 1:1s, run training, coach team on the floor.
• The Commercial Hustle: upsell opportunities, hit bar targets, monitor payroll costs for profitability.
• The Guest Experience: liaise with sales team and event organisers on the day, provide quick solutions, ensure a vibrant welcome and goodbye for delegates.
