Are you a registered Pharmacy Technician looking to developyour career? We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated PharmacyTechnician to join our friendly and innovative team. Ideally you would be full-timebut part-time would be considered for the right candidate. Prior experiencewithin this sector of pharmacy is preferred but not essential as you will beprovided with close peer support and professional development.

We promote high quality, safe and cost-effective prescribing.The role sits specifically within the Medicines Optimisation team for the NorthEast Essex Alliance and we keep a close working relationship with the teams inour Suffolk Alliances. It is essential you have access to an appropriate meansof transport to travel independently and regularly across the geographical areaof Suffolk and North East Essex and potentially further beyond.
There is no requirement for weekend, bank holiday or eveningworking. We also welcome applications for part-time working.
Have knowledge and understanding of the ICB Cost Improvement Programme (CIP) and support its implementation at practice level.
Participate in the delivery of one or more CIP projects.
Have knowledge of guidelines and policies developed in response to NICE or NHS England publications and directives such as new/revised clinical guidelines, low priority prescribing and self-care and support their implementation at practice level.
Assist in the dissemination of information and advice to GP practices, care home staff and provider organisations regarding all aspects of medicines and prescribing.
Build professional, trusted relationships with practice and PCN teams to ensure effective communication on issues relating to prescribing and population health needs.
Deliver education and training to a range of clinicians, including GPs, nurses, and pharmacists.
Analyse practice prescribing data from a variety of sources to identify key areas for improvement in safety, quality, and cost-effective prescribing. The post-holder will require excellent communication and influencing skills to challenge prescribing practice, whilst building ongoing and trusted relationships with practice staff. This may require significant mental effort.
Provide support and information to practice and PCN teams in response to prescribing queries at a practice level.
The Government has recently announced it is looking tomake some significant changes to the NHS structure in England. This will havean impact on the ICB, but we are unclear at this stage on what that impact willbe. Unfortunately, at this moment in time we cannot give any guarantees thatthis position will not be affected by the news. Any proposed changes will besubject to full consultation with staff and their representatives and willfollow management of change guidelines as stipulated by ICB Policy and NHSAgenda for Change terms and conditions.
