We seek an enthusiastic, motivated individual with strong interpersonal and organizational skills to join our friendly, dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to support pharmacy technician team leaders and clinical pharmacist team leaders in delivering ward-based pharmacy services across various specialties. We welcome applications from pharmacy technicians with limited or extensive experience; full training and support will be provided.
The post holder, a GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician, will support the Lead Specialist Pharmacy Technicians (Medicines Management) in developing and maintaining ward-level medicines management services. Responsibilities include assessing patients' own drugs, medicines reconciliation, dispensing original packs, counseling patients, and coordinating discharge medicines, including dispensing TTA on wards. The role also involves supporting the induction and training of ward-based technicians, pre-registration pharmacy technicians, and trainee pharmacists. Candidates must hold NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent and be accredited as a Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT).
