Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic medicines management technician to join our team at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford). The hospital uses a fully electronic prescribing system, which enhances patient, carer, and staff engagement, transforming clinical services and care.
Our team of dedicated, focused, ambitious, and friendly medicines management technicians have helped develop the service across the trust and are valued members of the clinical pharmacy and ward teams. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a wide range of patients and healthcare professionals while developing your skills and experience in pharmacy.
This position is suitable not only for technicians who already hold a Medicines Management Accreditation but also as a progressive role from Band 4 to Band 5 for newly qualified technicians or those qualifying in September 2025, who are working towards their Medicines Management and Technician Checking Accreditation. Please note, progression to Band 5 requires completion of MM accreditation, technician checking accreditation, and meds history taking training (if not already achieved).
The role involves participation in 7-day working, including late duties, bank holidays, and weekends, as the pharmacy service operates 7 days a week to deliver high standards of patient care.

The salary for the Band 4 position is: £26,530 - £29,114 per annum, pro rata.
