Job Description
- Work with the latest turbine technology in onshore operations, driving process and rigor in our service teams.
- Provide on-site technical direction, hands-on service, and leadership during maintenance activities.
- Prepare job planning documents, define scope of work, and communicate effectively with management and colleagues.
- Implement fault analyses and repair of wind turbine generator systems in the UK, including client queries.
- Document responses, fault findings, and repairs in service reports and logbooks.
- Coordinate external and internal service providers and contractors on site.
- Maintain safety standards reflecting GE and customer requirements.
- Work and fulfill on-call obligations outside normal hours if required.
- Perform administrative functions like writing technical reports, ordering materials, and preparing job status reports.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Electrical/Mechanical Fitter, Technician, or Electrician with a recognized diploma or certificate.
- Experience with electrical test equipment and procedures.
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic skills, and quality awareness.
- Ability to work at heights and structured with technical analytical abilities.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
- Willing to travel within the UK and Europe, including training.
- Excellent English skills; valid UK driver’s license.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience leading field service teams.
- Previous experience on GE turbines.
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, Project, Access).
- Basic Workplace First Aid.
Additional Eligibility
- Residence within about 1 hour of site locations (Chelveston/Kettering as initial staging).
- Right to work in the UK; sponsorship required candidates considered.
