Job summary

The Nelson Trust is a charity delivering residential treatment services to individuals affected by addiction, trauma and related challenges. We seek a part-time Medication Assistant to support safe medication management across four treatment houses in Brimscombe, Stroud.

You will work with the Medication Lead to maintain accurate records and assist service users in accessing healthcare. Salary starts at £25,000 per year (pro rata) with 28 hours weekly over 4 days, on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience in medication management and safe handling of medications.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals and pharmacies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medication management across residential houses.
• Receive, check, book in, store, administer and return medications safely and accurately.
• Carry out medication audits and quality assurance.
• Coordinate GP prescriptions and service user medical appointments.
