Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting a Rota Co-ordinator for the Medicine & UEC Division. You will ensure adequate medical cover, manage on-call rotas, and coordinate with HR and staffing solutions to deliver compliant, cost-effective staffing across sites.

The role demands strong organisational skills, efficient time management and the ability to work across clinical teams in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• IT proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
• Strong communication skills across stakeholder groups.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy NHS setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare and publish the medical on-call rota within agreed timescales.
• Support design/maintenance of on-call rotas including POD Rotas.
• Coordinate medical cover across the Medicine & UEC Division including out-of-hours.
• Identify temporary locum cover after exhausting alternatives.
• Adhere to bank/agency staff rules and terms.
• Monitor annual and study leave to ensure appropriate cover.
