Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a permanent Health Records Supervisor to lead a clerical team and guide the service from paper-based to electronic health records. Reporting to the Administration Manager, you will coordinate rosters, generate reports, support attendance management, and conduct appraisals and wellbeing conversations. Applicants should have GCSEs, clerical experience, and strong MS Office skills; training will be provided to help you progress.

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to become a member of our Corporate & Health Records team within the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. We are looking to recruit a permanent Health Records Supervisor.

Reporting to the Administration Manager your role will be to support a team of clerical staff in transforming the health records service from a predominantly paper-based service towards a comprehensive electronic based health record (EHR). This involves day to day staff management, rota coordination, generating reports, support with attendance management, appraisals and 1:1 wellbeing conversations.

Applicants should have a good standard of written and verbal communication skills as well as been competent in the use of Microsoft office packages. Previous administrative experience is also required, however full training will be given with an induction period.

Able to communicate effectively with users at all levels and from all backgrounds

Have a responsible approach to problems showing initiative and taking control of situations when appropriate before they get out of hand

Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment and lead teams through change processes

Respect and treat with dignity and fairness staff, patients, public and carers.
