Job summary

Suttons Wharf Health Centre is seeking a Medical summariser and Registration Clerk to manage the patient registration pathway on the EMIS system and read code clinical data in line with policy. You will also provide administrative support to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to procedures.

The role involves handling patient registrations, deducing data on EMIS, and supporting a busy teaching practice serving a diverse local community in Tower Hamlets.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent required.
• Strong IT and data handling abilities.
• EMIS experience desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage full patient registration pathway on EMIS.
• Read coding data on EMIS.
• Summarise patient medical history.
• Process clinical letters in line with protocols.
• Filing, scanning and attaching documents to patient records.
• Answer calls and manage correspondence.
• Support clinical staff with administrative tasks.
• Maintain a tidy, efficient working area and manage time effectively.
