Job summary

The University of Nottingham Health Service is seeking a Temporary Medical Receptionist to join our busy GP practice on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. Based at Cripps Health Centre, you will support a large reception team serving students and staff.

We value excellent customer service, organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Full training will be provided, and staff parking is available on site.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous reception, administration or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, in person and over the phone.
• Book, amend and cancel appointments.
• Process prescription requests and other admin tasks.
• Maintain patient information accurately and confidentially in EMIS.
