Job summary

Aspion is seeking a Medical Receptionist for a busy GP practice in Preston. The role involves reception and front-of-house duties, answering calls and patient enquiries, booking appointments, and maintaining patient records. EMIS experience is essential, with morning and afternoon shifts available.

Ideal candidates will have prior GP reception experience, strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment. Immediate start preferred.

Job Title: Medical Receptionist

Pay Rate: £13.00/ £14.57

Aspion are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Medical Receptionist to join a busy GP practice in Preston.

The ideal candidate will be EMIS trained, confident working in a primary care environment, and available to start immediately.

The role:

• Monday to Friday, full-time working
• Immediate start available
• Based in Liverpool
• Reception and front-of-house duties
• Answering telephone calls and dealing with patient enquiries
• Booking and managing appointments
• Updating patient records and maintaining accurate information
• Liaising with GPs, nurses and other members of the practice team

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience as a medical/GP receptionist
• Is fully trained and confident using EMIS
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills
• Is professional, friendly and approachable
• Can work well under pressure in a busy practice environment
• Morning and afternoon start times - Monday to Friday
