We are a large practice of 22,000 patient list size. You will be joining a large, friendly and committed team of Doctors, Nurses and other healthcare professionals, and a team of reception and administrative staff.

Greeting in a pleasant and friendly manner all callers at reception.
Answering the telephone quickly and dealing with or redirecting enquirers.
Running the appointment system including making appointments and encouraging patients to use the check in system.
Recording messages and home visit requests in the appropriate book legibly and accurately.
Handing out repeat prescriptions to patients or their representatives.
Handling general enquirers and giving out test results or referring to a more experienced Receptionist or Doctor if in doubt.
Preparing repeat prescriptions and repeat sick certificates for Doctors to sign.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
