Elsevier's SSRN preprint operation in London seeks a proactive Content Editor to support medical submission queues, uphold research integrity, and ensure compliance with funder and editorial policies. You will collaborate with editorial partners, policy managers, and production teams, delivering reporting and projects to promote excellence in preprinting across life sciences.

Qualifications

• Background in life sciences or a similar discipline; editorial or publishing experience is valued.
• Experience working on medical preprints or within scholarly publishing, with familiarity with reporting standards for medical papers.
• Self-starter who is comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Liaise with editorial editors to ensure smooth medical queues and meet turnaround times.
• Prevent posting of medical preprints that may cause harm and ensure ethics, funding, and COIs are provided.
• Collaborate with journal partners (e.g., Preprints with The Lancet) to support editorial policies and reporting.
• Liaise with Funders' policies and provide reporting on Gates Foundation preprints and others.
• Coordinate with Research Integrity Manager on submissions that pose reputational risk.
• Coordinate with Production and Product teams on policy changes for identifying bad content.
• Deliver reporting on growth within medical preprints area.
• Contribute to projects that promote excellence in preprinting.
