Job summary

HRUC is seeking a Medical Lead – Complex Care at Harrow Weald Campus to provide clinical leadership for learners with complex medical needs across Foundation Learning, ALSP, PMLD, and mainstream provision.

You will coordinate medical support, oversee medication administration, and guide LSAs and LCSAs. A Registered Nurse or Nursing Associate is required; you will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care and compliance with safeguarding and SEND regulations.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Qualified Nursing Associate/Healthcare Assistant with relevant registration.
• Trained in Manual Handling, First Aid, Safe Administration of Medication, Epilepsy, Anaphylaxis, Dysphagia and Diabetes including emergency medication administration.
• Knowledge of the Children and Families Act and SEN Code of Practice 0-25 years and related regulations.
• Experience with learners with Profound and Complex SEND.
• Strong understanding of CQC standards and regulations.
• Experience producing individual Care Plans and Risk Assessments.
• Good understanding of Health and Social Care processes.
• Ability to manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for learners with complex medical needs across Foundation Learning, ALSP, PMLD, and mainstream provision.
• Lead on planning, coordination, and monitoring of medical support arrangements.
• Coordinate specialist support including therapy services and medication administration.
• Deliver guidance, training, and monitoring for LSAs and LCSAs to support learners safely.
