Job description

Medical Imaging AI – Sales Director UK Manchester, United Kingdom

This role is for a leading medical startup specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions that assist radiologists and medical imaging specialists in diagnosing medical conditions more efficiently.

The Sales Director will be responsible for establishing and expanding the UK market, developing and executing an effective sales strategy. This is a full-time, permanent position based remotely anywhere in the UK.

Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience selling into NHS Trusts, CCGs, UK hospitals, healthcare networks, and radiology services.
  • Experience in radiology, PACS systems, imaging analytics, and relevant clinical knowledge.
  • Strong network of decision-makers within provider, payor, and regulatory segments involved in imaging.
  • Ability to present and strategize AI concepts to prospective providers.
  • Knowledge of UK Public Sector procurement channels (e.g., G-Cloud, CCS Frameworks) and healthcare accreditation schemes (e.g., NICE).
  • Experience with HM Treasury Five Case Model for public sector business cases.
  • Proven track record in full sales cycle execution, from initial contact to closing deals.
  • Excellent consultative sales, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience in setting sales objectives, forecasting, and developing sales quotas.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and proactive in market development.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute sales and business development activities to establish and grow the company's presence in the UK.
  • Create and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to meet business objectives.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial presentation to closing contracts.
  • Forecast sales and develop quotas for regions and products.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and negotiate major contracts.
  • Provide market insights related to regulation, payment systems, and clinical needs.
  • Develop regional market plans for AI solutions and manage regional P&L, budget, and goals.
  • Coordinate with product teams for market feedback and support.
