Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 MEMS technician to join the Medical Equipment Management Service across Basildon, Southend and Mid Essex Hospitals. You will perform planned maintenance, calibration and fault finding on a wide range of electrical, electronic and medical equipment to ensure patient safety and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Medical equipment servicing experience and knowledge.
• Proven knowledge of Medical Equipment Safety IEC 601.
• Familiarity with quality systems and ISO requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical support for a wide range of medical devices, ensuring safety and reliability.
• Commission, calibrate, maintain, repair and deploy complex medical equipment.
• Investigate faults, analyse results and implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate equipment and maintenance records; support procurement and training.
• Promote safe operation and provide guidance to clinical users; collaborate with IT and suppliers.
