Zusammenfassung

Medway NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Mechanical Medical Equipment Technician for the Clinical Engineering team within Estates and Facilities. The role maintains beds, hoists, couches, wheelchairs and other devices through repair, servicing, calibration and safety checks, with logging on the department system.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering education to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of electrical safety testing for medical equipment.
• Understanding of Health and Safety, COSHH, RIDDOR, MHRA guidance and CQC requirements.
• Ability to analyse information to provide advice and support.

Aufgaben

• Take and record requests for repair, service and delivery of medical equipment.
• Repair, service, calibration check and deliver equipment to users with documented results.
• Carry out electrical safety tests and return safe equipment for use.
• Participate in equipment management, including acceptance testing and inventory.
• Decontaminate equipment per policy and practice.
• Order spare parts and maintain stores through procurement systems.
• Support ISO 9001-2015 quality system and attend quality meetings.
• Liaise with clinical staff and adjust priorities to address shortages.
• Identify training needs and participate in relevant training opportunities.
