The Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) of the Department provides a range of services to theTrust. These include the care of medical electronic and associated devices, Training of clinical staff (MedicalEquipment Training) to use medical devices and a loan service for medical devices (the Equipment Library).
MEMS is based on two sites. The Medical Equipment Resource Centre is at the main hospital site and actsas the link with clients seeking repairs to equipment. The Centre also provides the Equipment Library functionand houses a suite for staff undertaking training on medical devices. MEMS also has electronic andmechanical workshops within the main department which is at the Faraday Building, on the edge of thehospital campus.
