Job summary

2gether Support Solutions Limited is recruiting a Medical Equipment Library Technician for QEQM Hospital in Margate. The role involves routine maintenance, cleaning and delivery of medical equipment to wards and clinical areas, with a 37.5 hour week including a 1 in 2 weekend pattern.

The successful candidate will have IT skills, experience in customer service, and an understanding of medical devices, with training and development opportunities offered within a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service or care environment.
• Good IT skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine first line maintenance and checks on medical equipment.
• Clean, prepare and maintain medical devices per procedures.
• Collect and deliver equipment to wards and clinical areas.
• Ensure equipment is available when needed and respond to requests.
• Identify equipment requiring further technical attention and remove from use as required.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the Medical Equipment Library.
• Manage equipment, consumables and stock with accurate records.
• Process documentation including delivery notes and stock records.
• Support audit and quality assurance activities.
• Respond professionally to service users and enquiries.
• Escalate non-routine or complex issues to senior colleagues.
• Work in accordance with departmental procedures and quality requirements.
• Organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
• Develop effective working relationships with colleagues.
