Job summary

2gether Support Solutions is seeking a Medical Equipment Library Technician (MEL) at William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, to help ensure medical devices are available and ready for use. You will manage equipment, perform routine checks and handle deliveries to wards.

The role combines practical equipment handling with record-keeping, stock control and customer service, working with nursing, clinical and facilities teams to support safe patient care.

Qualifications

• You will need a sound understanding of medical device management.
• Experience in a customer service or care environment is important.
• Good IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine first line maintenance and checks on medical equipment.
• Clean, prepare and maintain medical devices following procedures.
• Collect and deliver equipment to wards and clinical areas.
• Help ensure equipment is available where needed and respond to requests.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, stock and deliveries.
• Support audits and quality assurance activities as required.
