Job summary

The Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a contract management role within the clinical engineering team. The post holder will oversee hospital-wide service and maintenance contracts for biomedical, laboratory and imaging equipment, ensuring renewals, accuracy of the equipment database and cost-effective service delivery.

• Experience with medical equipment management.
• Knowledge of standards and legislation for medical equipment management.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of medical device service and maintenance contracts ensuring that agreements reflect requirements and are in line with financial instructions.
• Review service and maintenance contracts as they come up for renewal.
• Track equipment usage and keep the medical equipment database up to date.
• Recommend maintenance and servicing requirements in consultation with stakeholders.
• Liaise with Procurement to negotiate pricing and obtain agreement before placing contracts.
• Monitor progress and performance to ensure efficient service and contract compliance.
• Ensure servicing is completed according to contract terms and service reports are uploaded.
