Job summary

Outcomes First Group, through Acorn Education, is seeking a Mechanics Instructor/Teacher in Stowmarket to deliver engaging, practical mechanics lessons for students with special educational needs. You will work closely with the Headteacher to develop the curriculum and provide high-quality teaching that supports each pupil’s potential.

The role requires hands-on teaching, safeguarding commitment, and the ability to adapt to individual needs; UK QTS is desirable and a driving licence is

Qualifications

• Hands-on, practical teaching approach to mechanics.
• Ability to adapt lessons to pupil needs and interests.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the quality of teaching and learning in Mechanics.
• Plan, deliver, and evaluate an engaging Mechanics curriculum.
• Create an inclusive learning environment and high expectations for all learners.
• Deliver well-structured lessons with clear objectives and differentiation.
• Use assessment to track progress and inform planning.
• Embed literacy, numeracy and ICT skills into teaching.
