Job summary

Peel Ports Group is seeking a Mechanical Technician to perform hands-on preventative maintenance and timely repairs on mechanical and non-mechanical equipment at the Port of East Anglia. You will respond to unplanned failures, report parts deficits, and work under the Facilities & Infrastructure Manager to support reliability targets in a fast-paced port environment.

The role requires a minimum Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with experience in plant, hydraulic systems, fault

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with plant & machinery, critical PPMs and hydraulic systems.
• Strong fault-finding experience and use of diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of maintenance strategies (RCM, PM, CBM, TPM) is beneficial.
• Understanding of electrical equipment and PLCs is desirable.
• Commitment to Health & Safety standards in all work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on preventative maintenance on mechanical and related equipment.
• Attend unplanned failures promptly to meet reliability targets.
• Record deficits and inform the Facilities & Infrastructure Manager without delay.
• Work across multi-skilled tasks as required and ensure safe working culture.
