Job summary

Heysham Port Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and non-mechanical equipment, following site safety rules. You will respond to unplanned failures to meet reliability targets and support shift workloads under the Facilities and Infrastructure Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong fault-finding experience with plant & machinery and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of maintenance strategies (RCM, PM, CBM, TPM) is beneficial.
• Electrical equipment and PLCs knowledge is desirable.
• Commitment to Health and Safety standards in line with policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and non-mechanical equipment per site Safety Rules.
• Attend unplanned failures promptly to meet reliability targets.
• Carry out shift workload as directed by the Facilities and Infrastructure Manager.
• Report parts and materials deficits without delay; support multi-skilled activity where possible.
