V.Group is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support offshore Floating Production, Storage & Offloading facilities. The role covers maintenance of rotating equipment, seals, bearings and hydraulic/pneumatic systems on board ships.

The position requires offshore qualifications (ENG1 or equivalent), relevant mechanical engineering education, and proven ability to follow Permit to Work procedures and risk assessments.

Formación

• Qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (N/SVQ/HNC/HND).
• 3 years offshore experience preferred.
• Experience with hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities.
• Familiar with Permit to Work, Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessments.
• Medically fit to offshore standards such as ENG1.
• Strong written and spoken communication.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience and/or qualified to N/SVQ/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or local equivalent
• 3 yrs experience desired with offshore experience preferred.
• Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities
• Good experience of Permit to Work, Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment
• Medically fit to offshore International standards such as ENG1 or equivalent
• Good levels of written and spoken communication
• High standard of analytical, diagnostic technical and professional knowledge on rotating equipment, seals, bearings, pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, electro-hydraulic, and hydraulic systems
• Use standard Management System ‘Office’ package electronic mail system.
• Diagnostic software and equipment as required
• Maintenance Management System packages.
