Job summary

V.Group is seeking an Instrument Technician (Offshore) for a shipboard contract on an offshore facility. The role sits within the Engine department and involves work on a Floating Production Storage & Offloading Facility with responsibilities related to instrumentation and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have formal Instrument Engineering qualifications, offshore exposure, and a proven ability to manage Permit to Work and risk assessments in a high-hazard environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience and/or qualified to N/SVQ/HNC/HND in Instrument Engineering or local equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience desired with offshore experience preferred.
• Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities.
• Good experience of Permit to Work, Instrument/Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment.
• Medically fit according to The Company GEMS Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
