Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician (Fitter/Plumber) to join the Estates team at Northern General Hospital in Sheffield. The role focuses on repairing and maintaining heating, hot and cold water, and plumbing systems across the site.

Typical hours are 8am–4pm, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for training and development in areas such as City and Guilds NVQ, Authorised Person status, medical gases, and small pool operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing, heating and mechanical systems maintenance.
• Ability to repair day-to-day hospital infrastructure to high standards.

Responsabilités

• Repair and maintain heating, hot and cold water, and plumbing systems across the hospital site.
• Undertake repair works and general planned maintenance on hospital systems.
• Collaborate with trades such as building and electrical to complete works.
• Support Estates colleagues and management to deliver high standards of service.
