Job description

Mechanical Technician at Sizewell B Power Station

EQUANS is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their team at Sizewell B power station, working on behalf of EDF. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Leiston, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine plant maintenance, overhauls, and fault-finding on mechanical equipment including pumps, air compressors, fans, drives, motors, pneumatic controls, and pressurisation systems.
• Optional/desirable: Electrical circuit work related to equipment.

Qualifications

• Mandatory: City & Guilds Level III or NVQ equivalent; C&G/HNC or equivalent in engineering, factory services, or similar.
• Desirable: IOSH Managing Safely certification.

Health & Safety

• Understand and apply relevant risk assessments.
• Complete point of work risk assessments.
• Ensure proper use and condition of PPE.
