Job description

The Role: Working for a regional tool and equipment hire company, you will be working as a Plant and Tool Equipment Service Engineer / Fitter – workshop based. You will have previous engineering experience working on a range of general plant including excavators, dumpers, etc., together with small tools and equipment including Stihl saws, petrol generators, hydraulic power packs, and 110v power tools, maintaining and repairing this modern fleet. As part of the role, you will also be expected to assist within the team as required, including some driving duties as and when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. PDI’s, servicing, and repairing plant and tool hire equipment.
2. Working effectively in a small team.
3. Maintain and exceed workshop targets and efficiency.
4. Work well under pressure.
5. Maintain health and safety to HSE and company standards.

Skills:

The ideal candidate for the Service Engineer / Fitter role will have:

• Previous experience in roles such as Service Engineer, Mobile Service Engineer, Tool Fitter, Small Tool Fitter, Hire Technician, Test & Run.
• Experience within the plant / tool hire industry.
• Analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work without instruction.
• Current driving license.
