Job description

Maintenance Technician Mechanical, Bury St Edmunds

This role involves maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure effective and safe operation, minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance
• Repairing production, processing, and utility equipment
• Supporting new equipment installation
• Documenting all repairs
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Completing paperwork accurately
• Participating in BOPEX continuous improvement programs
• Adhering to all procedures, regulations, and policies
• Reporting unsafe operations and using mandatory PPE
• Working flexibly, including on-call outside regular hours

Requirements:

• High school diploma or technical qualification or equivalent experience
• Mechanical knowledge
• Awareness of HACCP, food hygiene, and safety standards
• Fluent English skills
• Computer proficiency
• Experience in machinery repair and maintenance in food/drink manufacturing
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Teamwork experience
