Job summary

Morgan Philips Group represents a public sector organisation seeking a Mechanical Technician on a long-term contract in Scotland.

The role involves delivering mechanical maintenance and asset sustainability projects, acting as Contract Administrator, supervising contractors and compliance inspections, and supporting water hygiene/Legionella control and gas safety. The position is hybrid, with on-site attendance as required.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering mechanical projects and maintenance contracts.
• Contract administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, including CDM Regulations and asbestos regulations.
• Significant knowledge of water hygiene/Legionella control.
• Experience using Microsoft Office.
• Desirable: NEBOSH qualification.
• Desirable: Mechanical trade qualification or professional membership (e.g. CIBSE).
• Desirable: Experience within a large public-sector property portfolio, preferably local government.
• Desirable: Experience using property asset management systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an out-of-hours emergency rota.

This awarding winning local authority serves Scotland's second largest mainland council area, and 23 islands.

Main Responsibilities
