World Class Defence Organisation is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer/Architect for a 6-month contract with potential extension. Roles available at Stevenage, Bristol or Bolton, with hybrid working (3-4 days onsite, possibly 5 days at start for training).
Candidates should bring extensive mechanical design/architecture experience, DOORS proficiency, and the ability to manage interfaces across airframe and launcher, supporting certification processes.
World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit a number of Mechanical Systems Engineer / Architects on an initial 6 month contract. The department can have the role based from either the Stevenage, Bristol or Bolton sites.
This role would suit a candidate who comes from a strong background of working as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Systems Engineer, Mechanical Architect or has experience of Mechanical Systems Architecture. A defence / aerospace background is ideal but not essential. DOORS experiencewould be great.
Rate:£60.00 per hour
Overtime Rate: Hours worked over the standard 37 hours per week, will be paid at ‘time and a quarter’
Location: Stevenage, Bolton or Bristol depending on your preference
Hybrid / Remote working: 3-4 days onsite needed. Will be 5 days onsite to begin with due to training needs
Duration: 6 Months with very likely extension. Contracts are often ongoing and long-term thereafter.
IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella)

We have an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Architect to join the team. This exciting role is to gather and manage the missile mechanical architecture requirements to achieve missile performance, on time and on cost and overall layout vs compliance. This involves providing justification of the design and co-ordinate the verification evidence of missile performance to support certification.
