Job summary

Test Valley Borough Council invites applications for a full-time HGV Sweeper Driver to support its Environmental Services team in Romsey. The role covers mechanical sweeping duties using an HGV sweeper and related street cleaning tasks throughout Test Valley.

The ideal candidate will hold a Category C HGV licence, with CPC evidence an advantage; outdoor work in all weathers and teamwork are essential, with a competitive salary and generous leave benefits on offer.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate the mechanical sweeper vehicle and associated street cleaning duties across the Test Valley area.
• Work as part of the Environmental Services team, ensuring safe, efficient operations.
• Maintain vehicle and PPE in good condition and follow health and safety requirements.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and motivated individual to join our busy Environmental Services team A vacancy has arisen for the position of Mechanical Sweeper Driver HGV

Your role is to undertake mechanical sweeping duties using an HGV mechanical sweeper and other associated street cleaning functions across the Test Valley area

To be suitable for the post it is essential that you hold an appropriate Category C HGV licence (rigid vehicles) Evidence of driver CPC is an advantage

For this position experience of working outdoors in all weathers, dealing with the public and working as part of a team is essential A knowledge of street cleansing and of the Test Valley area would be an advantage but not essential
