Job summary

Blackpointrecruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Mechanical Sweeper Driver in Welwyn Garden City to join our busy, well-established operation on an ongoing basis.

You will operate a mechanical road sweeper, perform scheduled sweeping and cleaning duties locally, conduct daily vehicle checks, report defects, and follow health and safety procedures to maintain a high standard of work. Shift: Mon-Fri 05:00-13:00, £18.82 per hour, weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 / Category C Licence required.
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card essential.
• Previous mechanical sweeper experience is essential.
• Good knowledge of road safety and health & safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 Mechanical Sweeper and perform scheduled sweeping.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Sweep road and site areas to schedule.
• Maintain professional standards of work and safety compliance.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain clear communication and punctual attendance.

Paying £18.82 per hour, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Sweeper Driver looking for consistent Monday to Friday work, regular early shifts, and reliable weekly pay.

The Role

As a Class 2 Mechanical Sweeper Driver, you will operate a mechanical road sweeper, carrying out scheduled sweeping and cleaning duties across local areas.

Key duties include:

• Operating a Class 2 Mechanical Sweeper
• Completing scheduled road and site sweeping
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Reporting any defects or maintenance issues
• Following health & safety procedures
• Maintaining a professional standard of work

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 / Category C Licence
