Job summary

QS Recruitment seeks an experienced road sweeper driver for our client in Market Harborough. The role starts immediately, with Monday to Friday work, around 40 hours per week, and a clear path to permanent employment.

You will operate a road sweeper, perform vehicle checks, adhere to planned routes, and follow health and safety procedures. In winter months you may transition to grit duties to prevent ice on public roads.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving licence with HGV Class (Cat C)
• In date CPC and Digi tachograph card
• No more than 6 points on licence
• Be reliable, professional and a good team player
• Proven experience in a similar role

Job Description

Road sweeper driver position with an immediate start!

We are looking for an experienced sweeper driver to join our team supporting our client in Market Harborough.

• Monday to Friday work
• Up to 40 hours per week
• Genuine opportunities to become permanent

You will be responsible for operating the road sweeper vehicle keeping roads, streets and public areas clean from debris. You will drive the rigid vehicle whilst simultaneously managing the complex sweeping gear and controls.

Duties:

• Operate the vehicle safely and efficiently
• Carry out vehicle checks
• Work to planned routes
• Follow health and safety procedures

During the winter months, you will transition onto the grit vehicle to help prevent ice and snow build ups on public roads.

You must have previous experience in a similar role to apply for this position.

Hourly Rate: The hourly rate is £15.17 per hour (PAYE). Holiday is accrued throughout the year up to 28 days, pro rata.

Working Hours: This is a Monday to Friday position where you will work around 40 hours per week from 06:30am.
