Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

• Location: Wythenshawe Hospital
• Salary: £40,000 - £41,400
• Annual Leave: 23 days
• Hours: 40 hours/week, 5 over 7 days

Job Introduction

We are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to join Wythenshawe Hospital. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will oversee all planned preventative and reactive maintenance related to Mechanical & Plumbing services, ensuring compliance with legislation, codes of practice, manufacturers' recommendations, HTMs, HBNs, H&SE guidelines, and contractual response times.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage day-to-day operations, including direct supervision of trade staff and subcontractors.
2. Ensure all statutory and non-statutory PPM work complies with relevant standards and legislation.
3. Develop rosters for maintenance activities, assigning tasks to DEL and subcontractors.
4. Conduct risk assessments and perform checks on ongoing and completed works.
5. Promote health and safety policies on-site and ensure all procedures are followed.
6. Coordinate remedial actions and advise on repairs and maintenance issues.
7. Assist in fault diagnosis and system troubleshooting.
8. Maintain accurate records of all Mechanical PPM activities and documentation.
9. Support the Operations Manager with operational and technical issues.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• NVQ Level 3 in Building Services or equivalent.
• Knowledge of site BMS systems.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.

Desirable:

• F-Gas certification, Medical Gas regulations, with appropriate training.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
