Job description

Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor

Are you looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to join us at Wythenshawe. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will ensure that all planned preventative and reactive maintenance operations related to Mechanical & Plumbing services are carried out in accordance with legislation, codes of practices, manufacturers' recommendations, HTMs, HBNs, H&SE recommendations, and are completed on time and within contractual response times.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily operations, manage directly employed trade staff and specialist sub-contractors.
2. Ensure statutory and non-statutory PPM work complies with relevant legislation and standards.
3. Create rosters for planned and reactive maintenance activities.
4. Conduct risk assessments for maintenance activities and perform checks on live and completed works.
5. Act as on-site health and safety champion, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
6. Manage remedial actions on repairs and PPM jobs, advising the Operations Manager as needed.
7. Provide fault-finding advice on systems and instruct team members accordingly.
8. Maintain and update all Mechanical PPM records and relevant documentation.
9. Assist the Operations Manager with operational and technical issues.

Qualifications:

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Building Services.
• Knowledge of site BMS systems.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
• Knowledge of F-Gas, Medical Gas regulations, with adequate training.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
